Is this book about getting men to spend money on me?
Not exactly.
Money is part of the conversation, but the book goes much deeper than that. We talk about generosity, provision, reciprocity, independence, boundaries and the difference between being cared for and being controlled.
Is this an anti-men book?
No.
I don't believe women need to hate men to have standards.
The book is written from a feminist perspective, but the goal is to question unhealthy expectations—not to make men the villain.
Do I need to be a feminist to read it?
No.
If you've ever questioned what you should expect from a relationship, you'll probably find something useful here.
Is this only for Nigerian women?
No, but the book is intentionally written with Nigerian and African relationship realities in mind.
Things like family expectations, marriage pressure, traditional gender roles, provision and bride price aren't abstract ideas here. They're things many of us actually have to navigate.

One last question: Is there a "right" way to have a relationship?
I don't think so.
There are healthy and unhealthy relationships. There are relationships that work and relationships that don't.
But there isn't one template every woman has to follow.
The point of this book is to help you figure out what works for you—and have the confidence to choose it.
